Wonders of Coconut Oil

Tall trees, leaves swaying  from left to right and giving people shade are some of the things that we think the coconut trees are worth of. Many out there are not aware of the multiple usage of the leaves and the fruits. Besides, the awesome  young coconut water to drink especially on a sunny day, the oil obtained from the fruit has extremely many benefits as well.

Being a person who is very particular on what goes on my head, face and body, I most often than not try to use only Organic products. Let it be cream for my face, hair or even the food I consume. Something that I commonly use is the coconut oil. Undoubtedly, it has a lot of health benefits. Some of the benefits include hair care, stress relieve, premature aging, skin care and when used in cooking, it can actually help digestion. Besides all these, it is also a great antioxidant!

I have been using coconut oil for my hair for many years and this tip was passed on from my late maternal grandmother. The best part about this is that we make the oil on our own at home. It is just awesome as this is Very Virgin Coconut Oil. I am saying this because we don't add any kind of additives except for a little bit of curry leaves to give it a nice aroma. Ever since I started using this oil  now for my hair and it has given me nice, thick and non freezy hair to many people's envy  :) .

I would apply this oil once a week on my hair and soak it for about 30minutes before washing it of with my choice of a shampoo. However, keeping it too long on the head would cause some to catch a cold as this oil is can be very cooling. I also put this oil on my face, to avoid wrinkles and premature aging. I have also recommend this to many of my friends and the results have been dramatic. It goes without saying that this will be a great food additive since it is an antioxidant. The only issue some might have is the aroma. Coconut Oil does have a unique smell and taste which many may not favor. Like the always say, "What is good for the body most of the time does not taste nice" ;) .
