Milk, Milk Everywhere

Fresh milk has got many wonders, more than one can think of. When consumed in an appropriate amount, it gives significant amount of milk, fat, lactose, calcium, vitamins A, B2, B12, D and zinc. Many wrongly assume that drinking milk is fattening. This is right only if taken too much.  Milk is unique because no other beverage in the world contains as many natural nutrients.

Besides consuming it, milk can also be used as a great skin care. It is not necessary to have all those special spa or facial products. Milk is used as one of the powerful ingredients in several beauty treatments. It works as whitening tool, smoothens and moisturizer, cleanser, and is also used in baths. The lactic acid in milk is both softening and exfoliating.

Below are 2 ways in which we can use milk in our facial routine;
  1. Dip a cotton into milk and gently rub it around parts of your face in circular motions. Leave it on your face for 10 minutes and wash the milk off. This helps as a moisturiser especially when you skin is dry.
  2. Take a few pieces of cut papaya, crush them into a paste and mix the paste with some fresh milk. Spread all over the face and leave as a mask till it dries. Wash it off. This acts as brightening agent.
More tips coming up! Watch this space folks!
