Hi Ladies,
We all know it's great to enjoy a cup of steaming hot tea after a hard day's work.. right?? But over the years, what have you been doing with all your tea leaves or bags after using them?? Thrown it away?? My dear girls... You have just thrown away years of beautiful looking skin and much more... :(
Well no worries, I am sure that you will not anymore after reading this. As we know, there are various types of tea that we consume.. Black, Green and White Tea. Now ladies, regardless of the type, always... I repeat always keeps the leaves or bags after using them.
Why? Here is why... Tea leaves contain high level of antioxidants which is make the perfect, cheap, easy to use and natural skin care product.. To me it was like god sent after I found out it's benefits..haha.. So I am going to share it with all of you.. After all sharing is caring right??..
Below I am going to list the what's and how's of tea usage:-
1) For Blemishes:- If you feel a pimple popping up, simply steep a tea bag in hot water for about 5 minutes. Then remove the it and place the warm tea bag directly over the blemish for 5 to 10 minutes. Remember, do not rinse your face as the tea will continue to fight all the impurities on your face throughout the day. You can repeat this as many times as you drink tea in a day.
2) As a Natural Astringent:- Black tea is an awesome astringent. All you need to do is make a cup of tea and splash the warm or cool tea over your face. It feels extremely refreshing.
3) Skin Polish:- Crush some tea leaves and mix it with any face cream of your choice and give your self a mini facial. Gently rub the mixture over your face and give a massage in a circular motion. This will in turn polish your skin and give it a shiny and radiant look.
4) Shinier Hair - Now, have you noticed a stain being formed in an unwashed teacup? Similarly, the compounds in black tea can give your hair a temporary darker and shinier texture. This is how you do it.. Wash your hair with shampoo as usual. Then rinse your hair thoroughly with a warm or cool cup of tea (Quantity varies depending on thickness of hair). Leave it for about 5 minutes and then squeeze out the liquid for your hair. Do not rinse after that and let it dry naturally. Do this and you will see the difference.
5) Eliminate Puffy Eyes and Dark Circles:- Steep 2 bags of tea in a cup for 5 minutes. Then remove them and squeeze out all the liquid from them. Place the bags in your freezer for 5 to 10 minutes(This is to make it chilled. Do not keep it until it gets frozen). Then lie down and place the chilled tea bags over your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse your face with cold water or a cool, moist tissue to remove residue. You will find your eye looking a lot more youthful and radiant after. Repeat this daily and over time your will be able to eliminate the dark circles.
6) Eases Bug Bites and Minor Irritation:- If you get bitten by a bug or experience minor irritation from paper cuts, sunburns or small burns, all you need to do is place a used tea bag in the refrigerator and place these cold bags over the affected area and press it down for a few minutes. You will notice that it almost instantaneously reduces all the itch or burning sensation.
7) Natural Tanning Solution:- Well this may be a benefit of tea that many might not use but nevertheless for those of you who love to get a nice sea side tan, here's a much better alternative. Make 2 to 3 cups (Quantity may vary from person to person) of black tea and leave it to cool. Pour the cool tea into a plastic spraying bottle and spray it evenly over your clean, dry skin. Leave to dry and apply another layer if you wish to have a darker tone.
8) Anti-Fungal:- Many of us often face issues with fungal infection or other kinds of foot disorder. Soak you feet daily and a basin of brewed tea for 15 minutes and say good bye to all feet problems. This can be done just as a routine foot soak as well to ease ankle aches or just to give your feet that shiny glow. You made add in some flowers as to the basin and make it "At Home Foot Spa".
Well ladies, the next time you make yourself a cup of tea, save the leaves or bags... It will be extremely useful to you without causing any harm to your purses :)
That's all for now.. till our next post.. adios..
