5 DONT"'s for Perfect Skin Care

Ladies, these are some tips I have gathered from many sources and some of which I have been practicing myself. There are many Do's and Dont's. As for today I will enlighten all of you with the Dont's.

·      Don’t forget to moisturize. It is believed that moisturizers are best used on damp skin
as they lock the moisture in.
·      Don’t ignore your neck and chest. (This is something very common among many of us. we tend to pay loads of attention to our face and arms that we tend to forget the neck.) The neck and chest are first to show the signs of aging since they have fewer oil glands than the rest of your body. Look for moisturizers that have age-fighting ingredients like vitamin A (retinols), kinetin, copper or vitamin C.
·       Don’t sporadically take care of your skin. One word of warning: Once you start an anti-aging regimen, you need to keep it up for best effects. The effects of acid peels, AHAs, moisturizers -- all the anti-aging products that remove dead skin cells and make skin look plumper -- won't last forever. You have to maintain them.
·       Don't pull and rub your skin. Since all skin are under stress when they are attacked by sun and carbon monoxide, pulling and rubbing skin will only cause further damage.
·       Don't pop pimples! Picking your zits may cause scarring. So fingers away please!
·       Don't over exfoliate your skin (not more that twice a week) as this can irritate your skin.
·       Don't go to sleep with your make-up on, no matter how tired you are. This can  clog up your pores and cause zits.

To some of you, these tips may be at your finger tips or has become your daily routine. To some they may have no idea of these basic tips. So therefore this is a little something for you all to explore. Have fun trying these tips out.
